Are you the sort of person who goes round saying “Lie mode off” in a convincing Kryten voice? Do you need someone to drag you away from a mirror? Is “smeg” your favourite four letter word? Then you might be in with a chance of winning the Red Dwarf video impression competition now running on YouTube.

The competition has been launched by Robert Llewellyn – you can watch his introduction below – and is based around this YouTube page as well as a Facebook group. Basically what you need to do is upload a video not longer than 60 seconds in which you imitate or take off a Dwarf character or scene. Llewellyn says:

Basically what we want you to do is create a short impression of your favourite bit of Red Dwarf. Like an impression of a different character or a very short scene you really love; and we really want you to use your imagination and create something original and exciting and funny

Entries should be uploaded as a response to the announcement video and a shortlist will be chosen according to which gets the most “favourite” ratings. Yes that allows for “cheating” – which is actively encouraged!

First prize is a pair of tickets for this year’s Dimension Jump convention, including hotel accommodation. Entrants must be 18 or over. As always read – er, listen to – the terms and conditions.
