Matt Smith Doctor Who Merchandise
Matt Smith’s Doctor may only have been on our screens for a few seconds so far but the merchandising operation is already in full swing.
Two new board games are in the works for release autumn/winter this year. Produced by Imagination Games these will feature the new Dr Who branding and Smith’s Doctor. David Snow of Imagination said:
We’re very excited about this new agreement with BBC Worldwide. This gives us the opportunity to apply our expertise in gameplay development for TV properties and to deliver authentic and fulfilling experiences to both avid fans of Doctor Who and the casual viewer.
Meanwhile the Northampton Chronicle reports that in Smith’s town of birth sales of eleventh Doctor figures are selling fast. The first official figure – showing Smith still wearing a battered version of David Tennant’s costume – has sold out in many shops with people elsewhere queuing for a chance to buy one.
