Write For Doctor Who Audio

How would you like to write a Doctor Who story to be performed by Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton? Well you might have a chance, thanks to Big Finish.

For years now Big Finish has been producing audio adventures featuring the classic era Doctors. Normally these are written by a select few and there’s no opportunity for new writers. But for a few days – until first thing 1st Feb 2010 – they’re opening up a possible way in.

Big Finish are inviting prospective writers to pitch ideas for a self-contained 25 minute audio story featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and up to three additional (wholly original) characters. The story can’t contain references to any existing Doctor Who elements such as monsters, characters or events. Writers will need to submit a 500 word outline and up to two pages of sample script.

Big Finish stress that this is not a competition and there’s no guarantee of any story actually being produced. Even so it’s a great opportunity. You can download the full details from Big Finish news.
