Being Human vs Twilight

twilight

The very British TV show Being Human and the very American movie Twilight are miles apart in their interpretation of the supernatural and vampires. It seems that Being Human creator Toby Whithouse has little love for the US film.

The Daily Telegraph reports Whithouse as saying:

I watched Twilight and thought it was the worst film I’d ever seen. The thing is, if you’re not going to be seduced by Robert Pattinson’s cheekbones, there’s very little in that film for you.

This is the media equivalent of the Telegraph standing in the playground and shouting “Fight, fight!”. The article then stirs things further by quoting Whithouse as saying:

Our fans could take their fans any day. The Being Human fans are extremely tenacious and mobilised.

Of course this is all just a bit of fun and not to be taken seriously.

I hope.
