Sarah Jane Goes Twice Weekly

The Sarah Jane Adventures returns next month and there’s a change to the broadcast schedule. Instead of being shown weekly, SJA will be shown twice a week on Thursdays and Fridays. Since the stories are two-parters this makes much more sense than leaving viewers hanging for a week, they’ll be able to watch a whole story over two days. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean twice as many episodes!

The important dates for your diary are October 15 and October 29. The 15th is the start of Series 3 on BBC1 whilst the 29th sees the first part of “The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith” which will feature David Tennant.

BFS Award For Doctor Who

Doctor Who has won another award, this time the British Fantasy Society (BFS) award for best TV show. The award was collected by Rob Shearman who wrote the superb “Dalek” from series one.

Congratulations to the Dr Who team on another award, however I can’t help wishing they had more competition from home-grown genre shows. The Beeb is doing a great job with Who, Being Human and Merlin. Unfortunately ITV has rather let the side down – Demons was awful and they’ve cancelled Primeval.
