Survivors Series Two

The Beeb has apparently decided that swine flu is unlikely to leave the world as a ravaged, post-apocalyptic wasteland. So they can broadcast Survivors Series Two without being accused of bad taste. The second season will air starting in January 2010, the exact date hasn’t yet been announced.

Series one of the Survivors remake ended with Greg (played by then Doctor Who Eleven favourite Paterson Joseph) shot at point blank range. Series two starts with the rest of the gang trying to save his life. Abby meanwhile is in the hands of the Lab. A new character for the second season is Landrey, a “mysterious figure linked to the Lab” and played by the great Patrick Malahide.

Personally I thought the first season of Survivors was surprisingly good, ruined by a final episode that left everything as an unresolved cliffhanger. Fingers crossed series two doesn’t go the same way.
